★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the most known mosque in Yogyakarta. The management is good and the best thing here is about their way in managing the social fund itself. They success to leave no balance almost all of the time, so it can be more useful to the public interest.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's simply a mosque. They have lanterns in fornt of it. If you guys come here in Ramadhan they serve you a free breakfast. Also, they have free fresh water. Recommended for backpacker.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of best example masjid in Indonesia. The scale of masjid jogokariyan is just village-scale masjid, but it can spread benefit to many people around.
Building: 8/10 (for village-masjid level)
Masjid jogokariyan has 3 floors and sub-unit building. First and second floor on main building is for salah and islamic study.
On third floor, there is rooms for guest who want to stay over, and some rooms for islamic events.
Financial Management: 8/10
The huge difference between masjid jogokariyan and other masjid is, usually masjid collect and deposit funds from jamaah from time to time. But jogokariyan always try to make masjid’s financial balance to zero in every week/month. And where all the money go? Everything for ummah.
Activity: 9/10
One of famous event in every year on masjid jogokariyan is called “Kampung Ramadan Jogokariyan” (Ramadan Village of Jogokariyan). A street bazaar festival that held every afternoon in Ramadan, besides many other events, like tabligh akbar, iktikaf, etc.
The Masjid provide up to 1.000 serving for iftar everyday. Everyday. If you want to make donation, do not hesitate to donate here. Your donation will be very useful and barakah, inshaAllah.
Verdict: 8/10
I am regular (not too regular tho) jamaah of this masjid. Not too regular, because it’s too far from my place, for regular salah. But if I always stop by if had chance for salah. I have some friends who served as youth section in this masjid. Overall, of course, this masjid is not as perfect as people say, especially if they just visit this masjid once or twice.
But still, Masjid Jogokariyan is awesome. I hope, everyone can make masjid jogokariyan and people who run it, as model for their masjid management in their place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very good mosque, especially for the social activities. Because of Covid-19 pandemic this mosque applies good health protocol, all jama'ah always wearing mask and do physical distancing, they are also separate guests on second floor and permanent residents on first floor.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Have been here twice. A nice friendly place to pray. Relatively close to Central Yogyakarta (keraton, Malioboro, etc.). I like staying at hotels around the mosque, offer daily prayers here, and then enjoying places and culinary around the city. It's more crowded during the weekend. People from different places and provinces like to come here. The mosque is famous of its charity work.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ it is a very great experience to be there. the ambience is so strong not only in spiritual but also in social connections. people are gathering not only to get religious or spiritual insight but also how to connect with each other. and the way that the takmir manages the masjid is so modern. they accommodate the digital technology in serving the jamaah and increasing the benefit to the surrounding or society.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A beautiful and warm place to visit for food-hunting, especially for you guys who are muslims. A recommended place to go with friends. However, I think the food stall should be opened longer. Since most of it are closed already at 8 PM.
