Lovely and homey restaurant. My family loves the food. Try mangut lele and garang asem...they are the best.

A comfortable restaurant with a varied and delicious menu. Prices are relatively cheap. Some parts are currently under renovation/construction

It's not pricey, one packet for chicken+rice+side dish watermelon+sambal+drink cost 29 k rupiah, but it depends whether you choose fish, duck or lele. But my advice is you shouldn't combine the watermelon in the same plate with the dish. Also it's too long to wait for the dish. I mean like your drink finished the food come

Actually the place itself was nice. Until i found a fly "swimming" in my Garang Asem. Suddenly lost my appetite, sorry to say, cleanliness need to be improved.

A large cozy restaurant with a strong Javanese atmosphere offering a traditional spicy savoury dish called "mangut" from freshwater fish, and the signature is beong fish (baung, Hemibagrus planiceps), an endemic fish at the nearby River Progo. Strategic location at Jl. Syailendra Raya in Wanurejo, Borobudur District, Magelang Regency, Central Java Province about 2.5 km from the world-famous Borobudur Temple. Customers can choose the beong mangut from the tail, the body or the head part. Nice dining huts, joglo halls and outdoor tables. They play non-stop recorded Javanese traditional gamelan music. Inexpensive. On my recent stop with my wife, we had a savory beong mangut (5/5), a hot pandan tea (4/5), a not so hot tapay drink (5/5) and crispy flour rambak chips (5/5). The savory fried stuffed tofu was perfect (5/5), but the blade fried banana was too soft and rather sticky (3/5). Clean toilets at the restaurant. A parking lot with a roof for motorbikes, and a vast open parking yard for cars and buses. There is a clean enough musholla (moslem prayer place) with urinoirs and washing places but it needs maintenance. Good free WiFi. Helpful security staff (they fetched us from the parking lot with a big umbrella because it was raining).
