★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sistem pembumian penangkal petir (grounding system) adalah suatu rangkaian instalasi yang tertanam di dalam tanah dan berfungsi untuk melepaskan arus petir ke dalam bumi atau membuang arus berlebih pada instalasi listrik. Tingkat kehandalan sebuah grounding ada di nilai konduktivitas logam terhadap tanah yang berhubungan secara langsung atau logam tertanam. Semakin konduktif tanah terhadap benda logam, maka semakin baik.
Grounding diukur nilainya dengan OHM. Alat pengukurnya menggunakan Earth Ground Tester. Nilai standar mengacu pada Persyaratan Umum Instalasi Listrik atau PUIL 2000 (peraturan yang sesuai dan berlaku hingga saat ini) yaitu kurang dari atau sama dengan 5 (lima) ohm. Dijelaskan bahwa nilai sebesar 5 ohm merupakan nilai maksimal atau batas tertinggi dari hasil resistan pembumian (grounding) yang masih bisa ditoleransi. Nilai yang berada pada range 0 ohm – 5 ohm adalah nilai aman dari suatu instalasi pembumian / grounding. Nilai tersebut berlaku untuk seluruh sistem dan instalasi yang terdapat pembumian (grounding) di dalamnya.
Untuk membuat instalasi pembumian (grounding) dengan nilai resistan pembumian yang sesuai peraturan, bisa dilakukan dengan beberapa teknik. Beberapa teknik pendekatan di antaranya yaitu : memparalel, menambah kedalaman atau memperbesar luas penampang hataran. Dengan melakukan salah satu atau ketiga tehnik tersebut, sehingga dapat memperoleh hasil yang diharapkan. Terdapat banyak cara untuk mendapatkan hasil nilai resistan pembumian (grounding) yang standar, tetapi diharapkan melakukan cara yang sesuai (legal) dan tidak mengandung unsur non legal yang dapat merugikan untuk kedepannya.
Harus anda ketahui dahulu bahwa pembumian yang baik atau yang benar-benar efektif mempunyai nilai dibawah 1 Ohm, namun itu semua bisa dicapai dengan kondisi tanah yang agak lembab. Kalau tanah ini kering atau gersang atau bahkan berpasir, maka akan berbeda lagi nilainya. Itulah mengapa kita sering menjumpai sistem pentanahan yang digali sangat dalam, hal itu untuk mencari kondisi tanah yang baik dan mencari nilai grounding dibawah 1 ohm.
Aspek-aspek yang Mempengaruhi Sistem Pembumian (Grounding System)
A lightning rod earthing system (grounding system) is a series of installations that are embedded in the ground and functions to release lightning currents into the earth or remove excess currents in electrical installations. The level of reliability of a grounding is in the value of the conductivity of the metal to the ground in direct contact with or the metal is embedded. The more conductive the soil is to metal objects, the better.
Grounding is measured in terms of OHM. The measuring tool uses an Earth Ground Tester. The standard value refers to the General Requirements for Electrical Installation or PUIL 2000 (applicable regulations currently in force), which is less than or equal to 5 (five) ohms. It is explained that a value of 5 ohms is the maximum value or the highest limit of the grounding resistance that can still be tolerated. Values in the 0 ohm - 5 ohm range are the safe values of an earthing installation. This value applies to all systems and installations that have grounding in them.
Several techniques can be used to make a grounding installation (grounding) with a regulated resistance value. Several approaches include: parallelization, increasing depth or increasing the cross-sectional area of the hat. By doing one or all three of these techniques, so as to get the expected results. There are many ways to obtain a standard grounding resistance value, but it is hoped that they are carried out in an appropriate (legal) way and do not contain non-legal elements that can be detrimental in the future.
You should know beforehand that good or really effective earthing has a value below 1 Ohm, but this can all be achieved with slightly humid soil conditions. If the land is dry or barren or even sandy, the value will be different again. That is why we often find grounding systems that are dug very deep, that is to look for good soil conditions and look for grounding values below 1 ohm.
