The learning system is bad, the teacher does not master the material, the age of the teacher is already classified as elderly so the hearing is a little disturbed, the tempo of learning is slow.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ sistemnya sangat buruk. pertama kali saya masuk, saya diberikan placement test. saya pikir saya akan masuk ke toefl level 2 karena saya sudah pernah les toefl sebelumnya dan sudah belajar sebelum tes. akan tetapi, hasil tes sangat mengagetkan karena saya belom pernah mencapai skor serendah itu. saya pikir mungkin kemampuan saya memang menurun. jadi saya masuk ke toefl level 1
hal yg membuat saya bingung, ternyata tidak semua teman saya di dalam kelas mengikuti placement test dan ada juga beberapa yang ikut tapi tidak diinformasikan hasilnya.
saya tetap berusaha positive thinking dan belajar di kelas
hal yang membuat saya terkejut di hari pertama saya les adalah guru yg umurnya *maaf dapat dikatakan sudah lansia. pada saat itu, saya tetap positive thinking dan kembali belajar.
plus minus dari proses pembelajaran di kelas adalah tempo belajar yang sangat lambat. terkadang ini bisa menjadi keuntungan bagi kita yg memang lamban dalam belajar. akan tetapi, hal ini akan menjadi sangat membosankan bagi mereka yg sudah bisa. karena kemampuan anak-anak di kelas sangat tidak merata (placement test terlihat seperti formalitas saja)
nilai minus lagi di dalam proses pembelajaran adalah pembagian section belajar yg tidak merata antara listening, grammar, dan reading
guru terlalu mendominasi di grammar (walaupun saya tau grammar section itu penting. tapi listening dan reading juga tidak kalah penting)
Hal yg paling aneh dan paling saya sesali mengambil tempat les disini adalah saat final test.
saya belajar buku longman di tempat les. dan saya sudah menyelesaikan buku tersebut terlebih dahulu di luar les tentunya dengan kunci jawaban yg akurat juga karena saya dapatkan dari lembaga les lainnya. sewaktu final test, soal yg dikeluarkan ternyata soal yg sama persis dengan salah satu pratice test di buku longman. berhubung saya sudah tau jawaban yg benar, saya mengisinya dengan sangat percaya diri. Namun, hasil test sangat mengagetkan karena saya dinyatakan salah sekitar range 5-10 di bagian reading dan grammar. padahal ketika saya cocokan lagi dengan kunci jawaban saya di rumah. saya seharusnya hanya salah 1 di grammar dan 2 di reading. saya sempat berpikir apa placement test yg tidak merata dan nilai final test yg tidak sesuai adalah bentuk upaya agar murid melanjutkan ke toefl level 2. but who knows ?
ini hanya pendapat dan review saya pribadi terhadap tempat les ini. saya tidak bermaksud hal lain selain mengutarakan ketidakpuasan saya. terima kasih
the system is very bad. the first time i entered, i was given a placement test. I thought I would go to toefl level 2 because I had toefl lessons before and had studied before the test. however, the test results were shocking as I have never achieved such a low score. I thought maybe my abilities had decreased. so I went to toefl level 1
The thing that made me confused was that not all of my friends in the class took the placement test and there were also some who took part but were not informed about the results.
I keep trying to think positive and learn in class
The thing that surprised me on my first day of tutoring was a teacher who was * sorry to say that he was elderly. at that time, I was still positive thinking and returned to learning.
plus minus of the learning process in class is a very slow learning tempo. sometimes this can be an advantage for those of us who are slow to learn. however, this will be very boring for those who can already. because the abilities of children in the classroom are very uneven (placement test looks like a formality)
Another minus value in the learning process is the uneven distribution of the learning section between listening, grammar, and reading
the teacher is too dominating in grammar (although I know the grammar section is important. but listening and reading are equally important)
The weirdest thing and I regret taking the tutoring place here is the final test.
i studied longman book in tutoring. and I have finished the book first outside of tutoring, of course, with an accurate answer key as well because I got it from other tutoring institutions. During the final test, the question that was issued turned out to be the exact same one as one of the pratice tests in Longman's book. since I already know the correct answer, I fill it out with great confidence. However, the test results were very surprising because I was declared wrong in the range of 5-10 in the reading and grammar sections. even though when I match it again with my answer key at home. I should only be wrong 1 in grammar and 2 in reading. I had a chance to think about the uneven placement test and the wrong score in the final test is an effort to get students to continue to Level 2. But who knows?
This is just my opinion and review of this tutoring place. I meant nothing more than to express my dissatisfaction. thank you
