β β β β β Hangook is a simple Korean restaurant that is located in a commercial area at Summarecon Mal Serpong. We came here forΒ a lunch, and there were several Korean had lunch and beer here. After walking from the mall to this restaurant in a sunny day,Β when I looked them having a chitchat while having beer, it made me thirsty and want to drink the soju.. LOL. So that, I also ordered it.
This is my first time drinking soju in the afternoon ?
Okay, let's talk about the soju later because I will share you first about what food that we tried!
Before starting with the main dish, they will serve some banchan (Korean side dish) for free. There are kimchi, long beans, bean curd, fried sweet potato, and radish. Let's begin with the main dishes!
Samgyupsal (IDR 70,000)
Grilled pork in gochujang sauce with vegetables and sliced garlic, served separately with the lettuces to wrap the pork, then enjoy it! At Hangook, we do not need to grill or cook the food by ourselves. The waitress will grill it on the separate table, and it is ready to eat when coming to our table.
Sundubu Jjige (IDR 50,000)
Hot spicy soup served with soybean curd and vegetables on a hotpot. The seasoning tastes mild.
Cheese Ttokbokgi (IDR 40,000)
At first we thought that the cheese is mozzarella, but actually it is just a bunch of grater cheddar cheese. A plate ofΒ rice cake with fish cake, boiled egg, vegetables in thick sweet and spicy sauce along with the cheddar cheese.
Jinro Plum Soju 360 mL
This soju contains 13% alcohol with plum flavor. It is great that this drink could relieve my thirst ?
Tastes good and not too bitter. Good combination with the plum. Well done!

β β β β β Compare with other korean restaurants around gading serpong, the price here is quite affordable. My favorite food is yuk gae jang (55k include rice and side dish) and steamed egg (18k), they served soju baram original (130k). The place is located just behind salsa food city.

β β β β β Only have quick lunch here so just order jjajangmyeon. The owner is Korean, so the taste is quite authentic. Price range is quite cheap compared to more established resto. Will come back to try other menu and have proper meal.

Yukkejang and Jayeukbokkum are our personal favorites, but everything else is good too!
