★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Today is my 3rd meal at this incredible all you can eat Japanese barbecue. My first was in Bandung and the second and third were in Gandaria City mall.
From now on this is my favorite restaurant in Jakarta because the quality of meats served and its tasty “spicy tare” sauces have been consistently excellent.
You can eat ala carte here but I usually skipped a meal or two before coming here and order the all you can eat buffet. It is thoroughly satisfying and I am surprised that this restaurant didn’t get higher rating in Google review ?.
Last not but not least the service have also been excellent in the Gyu Kaku Gandaria city, special mention to Iffa our waitress who also attended to our request promptly with a smile and great attitude.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Detailed review coming soon but the service is bad and the meat quality is just downright low. Too much fat on the Dragon compare to other Gyu Kaku in Jakarta.
Whenever I asked for 4 Dragons, they come in 2. I asked 2, come in 1. Be serious and stop pissing your customer off

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Chain group of PT Reins Marindo Indonesia owned Gyu-Kaku and On-Yasai restaurant. Gyuka-Ku focused on BBQ/yakiniku dish and On-Yasai on shabu-shabu.
For standard package at Gyu-Kaku, beef meat cutted more thicker compared at On-Yasai, but standard beef meat have more fat and not tender, so when grilled by gas flame it became hard.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ With AYE menus, you'll find good offer to enjoy various dish at this restaurant. But sometimes in rush hour, you must have a little bit of patience as they will only serve upon every our single request. Especially for dragon karubi...you will find unsatisfied one as you will need either to cut or grilled it first and seems not tender one as we expected. I don't know either we got wrong in the way its grilled or the meat itself is too thick.
At least we have new experience one in Japanese dining.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We broke our fast at this Gyu-Kaku and ordered Ramadan Buffet, which was 329k ++ per pax. We had to make reservation first. There were two slots: at 5:30 PM and 7:10 PM. We chose the second one. Good reservation system. It was smooth and well managed. Some of the foods can be seen in the pictures. The highlights were all the karubis, but the clear winner was the gyu kaku karubi. It was thick but tender and juicy. The rests were just ok. The services were responsive, yet the ambience was not that comfortable because it was crowded and the space was rather tight. Overall, the plentiful foods and free-flow drinks worthed the price. We gave it a four-star for experience. Thank you!
