Since I become so boring (eat gudeg twice a day, because I craving a lot for gudeg because I come from jakarta) I tried using porridge.
It was really nice, beside it was rice or porridge, the gudeg itself was really good.
We bought for 2 portion with additional egg and tofu plus 4kind of “gorengan” it all cost under Rp25k. The krecek is so damn good.
They are located in the trotoar/pedestrian in front of masjid, so easy to access. It will catch ur attention because it already has long queue on 7am on the morning.
But dont worry, they will serve you well and their taste will worth the wait.
Will come back for sure next time I visit Jogja.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice gudeg, the rice is nice, the side dish is plenty and delicious. Gudeg suwir ayam is a must try, the chicken was tender, and the boiled egg is great. It's more special to have it while sitting down facing the road.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Authentic traditional gudeg. A genuine street food stall whom dininishing from the street banks in Yogyakarta. Many of them transform to more permanent place, or just vanish when the seller is gone without someone continuing it.
This gudeg seller provide traditional items of gudeg menu, such as krecek, egg, ati-ampela, ayam and they have pecel and gudhangan also.
Memories bring back Yogya.
