Nama Kertinegara sendiri di ambil dari nama seseorang prajurit pada masa kerajaan mataram. Kertinegara merupakan prajurit kerajaan Mataram yang ditugaskan untuk menyelidiki Bupati Sruni yang tidak menghadiri musyawarah kerajaan.
Kertinegara Building is a meeting house. The multipurpose building is used as a sports building for the residents of Bojongsari Village, Alian District. The name Kertinegara itself is taken from the name of a soldier in the kingdom of Mataram. Kertinegara was a Mataram royal soldier assigned to investigate the Sruni Regent who did not attend the royal assembly.
