★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is one of the oldest steak house in Jakarta. They preserved the classic-old ambience in the interior. I've been here several times, yet only once during the pandemic. The waiter(s) were not the friendliest, they looked bored and even looked away when we asked questions about the menu, since there were some changes on the menu due to the pandemic (i.e the salad is off the menu). Other than that inconvinience, the USA tenderloin I ordered was still good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Vintage steak it is. Some people say their steak is old but good, however it doesnt suit my taste. We ordered signature menus but nothing special.
1. Steak ala Gandy (butter sauce)
2. Gandy chicken steak (butter sauce)
3. Gandy spaghetti
The waitress recommended us Gandy spaghetti with note non spicy for our kid, turns out the ingredient contains blackpepper and it tasted spicy enough for kids.
When we came, there are some (more than 5) tables left uncleaned, but empty seats are still available. Soft buns were served as complimentary.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 4 stars for the old memories, old steak house thats been thru times. Stability, consistencies, steadfastness... could also mean "stagnation".
..and restaurant building that ve seen better days.

Food quality is just ok, food taste is fine for Indonesians and maybe a bit off for Westerners. Service is a bit laggy during lunch / dinner time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Points for keeping the place as it had been for all these years but some nip and tuck here and there surely won't hurt the pocket. How they managed to keep most of the things down to the utensils and fixtures the same is an amazing feat by itself, testament to the durable materials in use. The food prices are comparable to other establishments with perhaps better decoration and taste but you come here for the nostalgic feel and old-school atmosphere. It's a pity that there's a lack of familiar old faces among the staff but the service is commendable enough.
