★ ★ ★ ★ ★ With five floors of learning space, Universitat Gadjah Mada's main library is wonderful place to study and access their resources. The first four floors are divided into different sections. The last floor has a computer room and additional study areas.
The circular lobby greets you as you enter the tropical modern bulding. The reception on the left will gladly provide you information on the library's collections.
Surprisingly, they have unisex bathrooms here which is quite progressive given the conservative nature of this country. Internet access for students and guests (who have a password or access) is available almodt everywhere. Be warned though that generally internet in Southeast Asia can be rage-inducing and frustrating.
I loved the white tones agains tge gray accents of the building although it kinda is dissonant against the neo-colonial structures dominatong UGM's campus.
By the way, it is open up to Sunday but only until 12 NN on that day.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There are many spacious room for study. For instance, discussion space, historical books places and also quite places with supprted by many sofas and computers. The library is clean and you may find toilet in every floor. The internet is fast enough. Not olny for UGM student, it also open for public while you have to tell to the offocer to get the facilities (it is paid). The parking area is provided.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My 2nd best place in uni after the sport hall (gelanggang mahasiswa). I came here to work on my thesis. Since the pandemic, we all need to book out seats through the library website. They will close the library at 12-1 pm for sterilization. We can sit in front of the library while waiting for it to open again. Sadly the visitors often sit wherever they want and they are not sticking to their booked seats. I think the WOW room is the most popular one, because we can sit on bean bags there. I hope the staffs are willing to remind the visitors to stick to their booked seats in the future. Overall, UGM students must come visit this spot! Don't miss this out!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Neat and clean, however the AC doesn't seem work so it's pretty hot during day. The building layout itself is pretty confusing, not to mention the signs are hard to understand. Disability friendly (only on the new building) because it is supported by disable button and disable toilet. Highly recommend to come on weekdays.
The book collection is various, though scholarly journal and educational supporting books is highly dominating the bookshelf.
