★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Faculty of Humanities of Universitas Indonesia (FIB UI) used to bear the name Faculty of Letters (Fakultas Sastra) University of Indonesia. Faculty of Letters was established on October 1, 1940 bearing a Dutch name, Faculteit der Letteren en Wijsbegeerte (Faculty of Letters and Philosophy). At that time, there were four departments, i.e. Department of Indonesian Literature, Department of Social Sciences, Department of History, and Department of Nationalities.

All the classes equipped with AC, and LCD. They have Department of Area Studies, Literature, History, Philosophy, Linguistic, and Archeology.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fakultas Ilmu Pengetahuan Budaya or Faculty of Humanities. This place has 10 buildings. Most of them are used for classes, and the rest for lecturers. It has some parking lots, canteen, mosque, Japanese Studie Centre, and some auditorium in several buildings. There's also a bridge, Jembatan Teksas, that connects this place with Fakultas Teknik or Faculty of Engineering.

The linguistic departments consist the study of Korean Language & Cultures, Chinese Language & Cultures, Japanese Language & Cultures, Arabic Language & Cultures, France Language & Cultures, Indonesian Language & Cultures, Javanese & Traditional Language & Cultures, Germany Language & Cultures, English Language & Cultures, Russian Language & Cultures, and Dutch Language & Cultures. While the non lingustic departments of study consist of Archaeology, Philosophy, History and Library Study.
