Meski secara geografis tidak ditempati oleh Bandara Internasional Soekarno-Hatta, terdapat miskonsepsi bahwa bandara ini terletak berada di Cengkareng oleh karena letaknya yang bersebelahan dan menjadi transit menuju kecamatan Benda, Kota Tangerang (tempat bandara yang sebenarnya).
Cengkareng District is located in the city of West Jakarta. Administratively this 27.93 km2 area is divided into 6 villages. Although it is geographically not occupied by the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, there is a misconception that the airport is located in Cengkareng because of its adjacent location and transit to Benda sub-district, Tangerang City (the actual airport location).
