★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Gak tau kenapa desa ini dinamakan Desa Jamur, padahal tidak ada pembudidayaan jamur di sini. Atau mungkin dulunya memang desa ini penghasil jamur tiram dan beralih pada komoditas lain yg lebih menjanjikan, sementara kemudian sentra pengembangan jamur bergeser ke daerah Sidomoyo. Karena terlihat di sebelah barat desa terdapat tugu2 berbentuk jamur dengan plang nama desa Jamur.
Yang kemudian ada di sini adalah kolam2 pembibitan udang galah dan ikan air tawar yg kebanyakan untuk mensuplai bahan menu resto Mang Engking yg cikal-bakalnya berada di desa ini juga.
Selain resto itu, yg terkenal dari desa ini adalah terdapatnya 2 mata air yg termasuk tujuh sendang di kawasan Sendangrejo yg biasa digunakan untuk ritual kejawen.
Itu juga alasan Mang Engking memilih membangun resto yg jauh dari pusat kota Jogja dan bukan merupakan jalur menuju suatu tempat wisata: karena sumber air melimpah untuk membuat resto bertema air.
Kedua sendang itu yakni:
Sendang Jamur, yg berada di sebelah utara resto Mang Engking.
Berbentuk bangunan rumah dengan 2 bilik pemandian putra-putri yg masih aktif digunakan warga untuk mandi dan mencuci.
Dan Sendang Tarungan, yg terletak di sebelah selatan tepi jalan desa di area kolam pembibitan udang/ikan.
Berupa bilik putra-putri tanpa atap berdinding setinggi pinggang yg sudah tidak terawat dan berair hijau-keruh.
Don't know why this village is called Desa Jamur, even though there is no mushroom cultivation here. Or maybe this village used to be a producer of oyster mushrooms and switch to other more promising commodities, while then the center of mushroom development shifted to the Sidomoyo area. Because seen in the west of the village there are mushroom-shaped monuments with signposts Jamur village name.
Which then is here are breeding ponds of giant prawns and freshwater fish which are mostly to supply Mang Engking restaurant menu items which are the forerunner in this village as well.
In addition to the restaurant, what is famous from this village is the presence of 2 springs including seven springs in the Sendangrejo area which are commonly used for kejawen rituals.
That is also the reason Mang Engking chose to build a restaurant that is far from the center of Jogja and is not a path to a tourist destination: because water sources are abundant to make water-themed restaurants.
The two spring are:
Sendang Jamur, which is to the north of the Mang Engking restaurant.
In the form of a house building with 2 bathing rooms for children and children who are still actively used by residents for bathing and washing.
And Sendang Tarungan, which is located on the south side of the village road in the shrimp / fish nursery area.
In the form of a booth for children without a waist-high wall that is not maintained and has a green-turbid water.
