Memang bentuknya seperti danau, tapi tidak terlalu luas. Danau ini dikelilingi oleh perumahan Puspiptek dan masjid Bahrul Ulum. Tampaknya danau ini enaknya untuk piknik dan mancing ikan, tapi ada rambu dilarang memancing ikan. Jadi, mungkin juga danau ini diperuntukkan sebagai cekungan resapan air hujan agar tidak membanjiri kompleks Puspiptek yang berada di sekitarnya.

Indeed, it looks like a lake, but not too broad. The lake is surrounded by Puspiptek housing and the Bahrul Ulum mosque. It seems the lake is great for picnics and fishing, but there are signs that fishing is prohibited. So, maybe this lake is also intended as a rainwater catchment basin so as not to flood the Puspiptek complex around it.
