★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a traditional market in East Jakarta. We can find so many taylors with affordable price here. It is quite hot, no air conditioner provided inside this place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A legendary market at Jakarta. Probably the first Cinema around Rawamangun, Ciremai.
Located next to Kemiri Grave Yard and in front of anothe legendary restaurant the Restaurant Sederhana.
It was 3 storey traditional market, but not like any other traditional market Sunan Giri offer school kit, uniforms, book, knitts, sewing courses.
Unfortunately it was not in good shape anymore. Many of the floor are broken, damage, the parking lot are in bad condition aswell.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ For those who loves fabric and want hunt for it but dont have much time to go to tanah abang, this place is the answer.
Lots of fabric choices, from japanese cotton to ceruti, or sewing stuffs, the tailors, even the sewing class, you can find it all here in one place.
The place is quite comfortable for bringing kids, its quite clean also and there's a mosque behind it. For the parking lot, just as same as the other traditional market, its narrow, so you have to come earlier to get a nice car park space.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pasar Sunan Giri's located in East Jakarta. Here are sold various kinds of clothing and types of cloth. Every time I go to the Pasar Sunan Giri I always buy is cloth, even then for school work. Fabrics sold in this market have a large selection of colors and motifs and are very good. The prices offered in the Pasar Sunan Giri are slightly cheaper than other markets, besides that we can also bid on the items we buy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pasar Sunan Giri used to be a traditional market in selling vegetables,, meat and fish and also groceries. But nowadays they turn this place into fashion market. you can find a lot of textile shops, tailor services, embroidery services, fashion and cloths shops.
You may find some groceries stores there but only a few not as it should to be as a traditional market.
But for sure you can make your own dress and blouse and find all supporting fashion stuffs there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I bought my school uniform here, so did my younger brothers and sisters. They sell fabrics, clothing accessories (zippers, buttons, sewing threads, etc), there are also tailors for wedding gown, muslim clothings, man suits, etc.
PROS
(+) the collections are quite vary, you can find unique pattern, colours, and rare knick knacks for clothing needs
(+) the prices are moderate (not too expensive, but not too cheap either, you still can find cheaper version on online shop).
(+) do not miss the chance to eat here, on the backside of the building there are many food stalls. My favs r soto mie bakso and ice black cincau. You can also find local snacks like siomay, fruit salad, green banana, kue ape, ice coconut, etc
CONS
(-) there are several buskers and beggars, they even approach you when you are making purchasing inside fabric shop. I said “sorry” but they keep singing and saying things. After saying “sorry” 3times finally they go away.
(-) no air conditional here and the deeper you go inside, the hotter it is.
(-) the building is old and dirty, with no safety system. No ventilation system, no fire prevention system, and there isn’t enough parking space for cars. On weekdays, the parking lot is full with students’ cars of nearby school (Al Azhar, Diponogoto, Muhamadiyah). On weekends, parking lot is full with visitors’ cars.
