The taste is awesome, as long as we are adding the secret tauco sauce. Although the price is quite expensive, 30k rupiah per bowl exclude ketupat, but it is worth it, at least for me. The parking lot is very limited, as most of eating places in Jakarta. You can park the motorcycle near the resto, but for cars should be parked elsewhere. It has been selling coto makasar since 1970, wow... Cool.

Affordable price and delicious, plus real "makan coto" atmosphere. On street parking.

If you crave for Makassar cuisine, especially coto, came here. The broth taste is authentic, not like others that just blend peanuts into their broth. This one has ORI stamp by real Makassar people (me). It's difficult to find the authentic coto in Jakarta, but this is certainly one of them. You can try campur (all mixed) or just meat or anything you like from tongue, usus, paru etc. Mix your spices with add on ingredients; the sambals, leeks and fried shallots. Don't forget to add lime juice! Makassar cuisines are not complete without it! Eat with ketupat (rectangular shaped rice cake) or burasa (umami rice cake). Well, usually ketupat is the match for coto. Also try the jalangkote (pastel, like empanadas but fried till crispy).

Number one Coto Makassar in Jakarta, taste AMAZING. Coming here for at least once every 2 weeks based on recommendations from my friend who's born and raised in Makassar. The taste is as close as originally sold in it's origin. Don't forget to add salt into your soup because the one that came in from the kitchen is unsalted. My favorites are tanpa perasaan (come and see how they uniquely name the menu), buras and extra fried shallot

Coto Makassar is a Traditional beefy soup from South Sulawesi. But in Greater Jakarta Area it is rare to find a good authentic Coto Makassar, I can only name less then five that we call Authentic Coto Makassar in Greater Jakarta area, my wife if from am Big Bugis Family (an ethnic group from South Sulawesi), and Coto Makassar Senen is The BEST. They offer the usual cut-up beef and cut up Cows insides, like Heart, Lung, Liver, Intestines. They also have Tongue, Cheek and Brain. we can choose which one we want in our Coto. and as side dish they have Ketupat (Rice Cake) and Buras a Savory Rice cake (cooked with coconut milk). Coto serving comes in a small bowl so it is normal to have 2nds and also a chance to try different combinations of stuff in your Coto in the 2nd serving They are open everyday from 7;00 to 22:00, but usually by 16:00 many of the good stuff are already sold out, the place is on road side and no aircon. they accept non cash payment like the use of local virtual wallet providers (but no credit cards). Parking area is a bit limited.

In my opinion, this is by far the best COTO MAKASSAR in Jakarta Area. It tastes slightly the same like I had in the origin place. Buras (savory rice cooked) and chilli was really good. They served quite good amount of beef and inside cow cut in one small bowl. The price is not expensive. Parking area is very limited, I recommend using online taxis/bikes or angkot to get here.

Anyone who missed their home town makassar dish, this is the right place to enjoy buras and coto Makassar! They also have street singer who can sing angin mamiri and other famous makassar song. I like how they hang some frames showing the history of coto, the friendly server use the traditional hat (songkok nibiring) as part of their atire. It was not only my palate who enjoy the savor but by visual, audio and my brain reading history on the wall, I can fully feel the authenticity of Makassar in here! Note: -My favourite menu coto makassar with beef only and buras -Wear light clothes (you'll sweat alot) -The only chalenging part was turnover of the crowd seat and finding parking place. But everything paid off with the tasty food ❀️
