★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place is between Hotel (Novotel) and Apartment, I just wanna take some coffee here, and walking around. I didn’t pay for entrance, just put my name in guest book. Try to know about Chinese History around 17-20 Century, and I like the old towns. The places isn’t big in general, just for walk while learn about that place in the its era. Hope u enjoy to visit .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Candra Naya (Hokkien: Sin Ming Hui) is an 18th-century historic building in Jakarta, Indonesia. It was home to the Khouw family of Tamboen, most notably its highest-ranking member: Khouw Kim An, the last Majoor der Chinezen ('Major of the Chinese') of Batavia (in office from 1910 until 1942). Although it has been renovated in some part in new management under Modern Group but we can find historical heritage here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Well maintained museum of Chinese culture, architecture, and history in Jakarta, peaceful, strategic spot nearby Novotel, Starbucks, Green Central City Apartment. Free entrance. Please fill out the guest book when entering the building. There are some oriental cafes around also fish pond, yard, and gazebo at rear area. I enclose photos from my last week trip

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You can feel the holiness of this place and the history of old landscape, the building, the architecture, the ambience, all of the silence during visit really bring you to old times. If you want to see old building, combined with new building. You need to visit this. Really recommend

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awesome heritage spot in Glodok. This museum is inside the Novotel Hotel Gajah Mada. They have cafe and restaurant as well with affordable prices. Museum is free of charge. My favorite spot was the backyard with the pond and the buddhism prayer room. Soooo lovely.
