★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Candi Pendem berada di tengah ladang penduduk . Belum ada jalan setapak perkerasan . Kita akan melewati jalan setapak pematang ladang . Candi tidak terlihat karena berada dibawah permukaan tanah . Harus hati - hati jangan sampai tersesat . Karena rimbun tanaman ladang yang ditanami Jagung , cabe dan lain - lain . Atau lebih baik minta antar penduduk sekitar untuk menuju lokasi Candi Pendhem . Ukuran candi tidak besar . Halaman sekitar candi juga tidak luas . Karena hanya berjarak sekitar 3 m langsung berbatasan dengan ladang penduduk . Tak jauh dari Candi Pendem ini terdapat juga Candi Asu dan Candi Lumbung . Jadi kalau berkunjung ke Candi Pendhem sekalian kita berkunjung ke Candi Asu dan Candi Lumbung .

Penggaliannya tidak ia lakukan seorang diri namun juga bersama dengan masyarakat. candi ini berada di Dusun Sengi, Kabupaten Magelang, Kecamatan Dukun, Jawa Tengah. Candi Pendem ini merupakan candi Hindu yang berlokasi tidak jauh dari candi Triloginya yakni Candi Lumbung dan Candi Asu. Ketiga candi tersebut juga dikenal dengan sebuatan candi-candi Sengi.
Pendem Muntilan Temple Magelang was originally discovered by farmers who were hoeing the land, then excavated by a Dutchman named de Plink. He did not do the excavation alone but also with the community. This temple is located in Sengi Hamlet, Magelang District, Shaman District, Central Java. Pendem Temple is a Hindu temple located not far from the Trilogy temple, the Lumbung Temple and Asu Temple. These three temples are also known as Sengi temples.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Akses ke candi nya menurut saya sangat susah sekali, seperti candi rahasia, harus cari jalan sendiri. Candi nya menurut saya terawat, terdapat candi Asu dan Candi Lumbung di dekat candi Pendem. Di salah satu batu nya terdapat ukiran2 yang belum selesai, dan ada yang menyerupai media untuk bermain dakon. Jika cuaca sedang bagus kita bisa menikmati pemandangan gunung Merapi dan Merbabu dari candi ini. Untuk foto pun sangat bagus. Semoga selalu terawat dan lestari. Rahayu.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lokasi Candi Pendhem berdekatan dengan Candi Asu. Namun kita harus berjalan kaki melewati jalan setapak dan pematang sawah. Sebaiknya titipkam kendaraan Anda di sekolah dasar di depan Candi Asu.
Dari plang candi Pendhem kita cukup menyusuri jalan setapak. Sekitar 50 m, ada percabangan ke kanan adalah ke rumah-rumah warga. Ke kiri adalah ke Candi Pendhem.
Karena terletak di tengah-tengah persawahan, ada baiknya kita memohon izin ke warga setempat. Kita akan menyusuri pematang sawah hingga Candi Pendhem. Sebaiknya pergilah kesana ketika hari cerah agar jalan tidak becek/jeblok.
