One of the best hands-on experience in Jogja. For about Rp50k, you get to design and make your own batik handkerchief. They will teach you how to do it as well as learning how batik is made. The staffs are patience and friendly, always smiling when we talk with them. The whole process takes about 2h and it was so much fun for both local and overseas tourist. You can also buy batik here as well afterward if interested.

Very good. They have store if you want to buy handmade batiks with natural dye and they also offers basic batik writing course for 1-2hours. For 1 color batik 30x30cm cost you 50K which is cheap and quite enough lesson if you want to know the basic. Morning class start at 10am-12pm and there are afternoon class start at 2pm -4pm...if you come with more than 5pax make sure to call them but less than 5 i think you can just come and go

A batik workshop place. The guide were so nice and have good knowledge about batik. A must visit place when you are in Yogya to know more about their ancestor cultural way of producing batik.

Amazing place and value for money experience!!! For the same price (50.000rup) you can either make your own little batik with stamps or you can draw your own pattern.. I tried both! The girl that showed me the technique was very polite but she did give me the impression that she wanted to get it done so the stamp was the easy way but I insisted that I wanted to learn! Overall a very interesting workshop and at the end you get to have your own unique piece of batik made by you!!!

I don't need to say no more, the previous review said it all. Had a great experience here making tradition Batik. I was fascinated by how they made Batik from scratch. I was amazed how much work they put into it. They were patient and treated us like a friend. Even though we were tourist and didn't spend much money. Maybe because I spoke some simple Indonesian words to them. I highly recommend you come here for a full DIY Batik experience!

We had the most amazing experience in this fully operational traditional batik workshop. You select a cloth size, stamps or freehand drawing, heat the wax, select a colour, cook the wax, iron dry your artwork and sew in the hem. Very friendly, helpful and experienced guide and staff helping you along the way. The boutique itself is also worth spending time with high quality and unique patterns for garments and table cloths as well as artwork. Best batik place in Yogyakarta if not Indonesia.
