Lima lainnya ada di Janti (Klaten), Ngrajek (Magelang), Ambarawa (Kabupaten Semarang), Tambaksora dan Singosari (Banyumas), Randudongkal (Pemalang). Adapun tugas pokok dan fungsi BBI adalah menyediakan benih bermutu dan induk unggul ikan air tawar yang dibutuhkan masyarakat serta penyediaan teknologi perbenihan dan budi daya yang ramah lingkungan.
BBI Muntilan is one of the six technical implementing units (UPT) of the Office of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries in Central Java. Five others are in Janti (Klaten), Ngrajek (Magelang), Ambarawa (Semarang Regency), Tambaksora and Singosari (Banyumas), Randudongkal (Pemalang). The main tasks and functions of BBI are to provide quality seeds and superior freshwater fish broodstock needed by the community and the provision of environmentally friendly hatchery and cultivation technologies.
