★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best bakpia in jogja. And its quite cheap, only 30.000 rupiah per box. Each has ten bakpia inside.
Its a different type with the usual bakpia that is the trademark of the city. The outside is soft and the inside is melting.
I suggest you bought the one with chocolate inside and outside, cause its the best.
The place, however, rather small for such a popular food. There's usually a line here that the place can't contain. They prefer you to have pay in the exact price, as sometime there's a lack change.
The most popular one is the chocolate brownies as sometimes you'll find it sold out and had to wait for a restock.
❤❤❤ Again, it tastes really really good!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bakpia Kukus Tugu Jogja is the best gift from Yogyakarta you can bring back home to share with the loved ones (well, in my opinion it is! Since I'm practically can eat the whole box by myself ☺️). I loved their Premium Original Keju (Cheese), the sweet cheese paste filling though, absolutely gonna make my day, and hopefully the same for you guys. Usually, I also buy their Premium Original Cokelat (Chocolate) for my family member whom prefer chocolate more than cheese, but for me this one is totally defeated by the cheese one ?. For Bakpia Tugu Premium Original Keju, i'm gonna rate it 5 out of 5.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I don't know why they bother calling it 'bakpia' it's far from being one. It's basically 'bolu'. Taste OK: cheese and chocolate. The green bean (bakpia original taste) was so so. Good packaging and something different as souvenir (oleh-oleh)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ this is sooo good, never know that a traditional snack such as bakpia can be turned into a chiffon like cake. the texture and taste reminds of tokyo banana, but believe me, this is so much, much better. a great way to bring 'oleh-oleh' for your loved one

Its taste is quite nice, but i think it’s only like a so so ‘kue bolu’ or even ‘s*ri r*ti sandwichlike’ that provided in one of the most common convenience store here. Hopefully, the original cuisine and meaning of truly bakpia is not shifting or changing. Bakpia is one of the cultural culinary heritage we should preserve.
