★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Personally recommend not to order complete portion. Too many mixed food in one plate, it makes your mouth confuse with so much taste from bakso goreng, siomay, chicken gizzard. One complete portion is 56.000 IDR.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good value for a hearty meal. However the taste is more to the sweet side and sometimes you can't help thinking that it feels like eating main and desserts at the same time. The dumplings are not that great but the included pork cracklings combined with soft chewy noodles are always a holy matrimony. It's my to go place if I feel like having something for my sweeth tooth

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bakmi Ahau 38 is food tent located in Mangga Besar area, and yes people expect a crowd here ?. Bakmi Ahau opened 2 times a day, first on breakfast time (05:30 - 15:30 and closed every wednesday) and second for dinner time (16:30 - 00:00). Bakmi Ahau is a pork noodle with sweet and savory taste, some will find it superb delicious (my Dad on this side ?) and other will find it kinda too sweet for a bowl of pork noodle (and sadly, i'm on this side ?). For today dinner, decided to stay at home, I ordered Bakmi Ahau Porsi Besar Komplit to be enjoyed at home. In Bakmi Ahau Porsi Besar Komplit, you guys gonna get big portion of chewy noodle topped with various of topping such as minced chicken / pork, 5 pieces of quail eggs, 2 pieces of swekiaw (yam and meat boiled dumplings), 2 pieces of fried meatballs, 1 siomay, boiled choy sum and 1 piece of fried dumpling (what a generous portion ??). Maybe this is a biased opinion, but since i'm not a big fan of kinda sweet pork noodle, for Bakmi Ahau, i'm gonna rate them 3 out of 5 (but for you guys whom love sweet taste in their noodle, you will find Bakmi Ahau delicious).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place is crowded and many visitors are waiting for take away when i arrived. By this condition, i have high expectation on this noodles.
They only have 3 rows of table, each for 4 seaters. So if you come in a large group, you need to manage and consider if on your arrival there are people waiting or still having their food. Me, i have to share with others who just used 2 seats. Lucky me yes.
You also need to consider the parking area if you drive car cause it's not spacy there, perhaps a walking distance far for you park your car in case you don't get any parking slot.
After 15minutes of waiting and looking at many people come after me got served first while I still didn't get my bowl, i have to chased mine, finally after 10minutes of chase, i got mine served.
Taste:
Just an average to me, even for it's dumpling and siomay I just had one bite and i left them. The complete portion costs Rp 48k. I don't want to use the fried dumpling so they changed it with meatballs.
Conclusion:
The noodles is just not suit my taste and consider to the price to me is too expensive, i prefer other noodles that suit me better for this price, even with more competitive price. However, to many others, this noodles maybe is a big yes, delicious and tasty. Since i arrived until i left, i see people come and go and waiting for their take away. Meaning either people are just like me a first trier with full of curiosity or they do love the taste and repeat again and again like many reviews shared before me. So you gotta try for yourself and judge it on your own.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is just more than bakmie. My second time visit this bakmie and the taste still legendary. Serves tasty non-halal bakmie, also great pangsit goreng with generous portion.
Unfortunately due to covid and large scale restriction in jakarta I cannot dine in which make me a bit disappointed. But anyway wish to comeback again sometime.
