★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the best extra crispy fried chicken restaurant. More of a fried chicken rice meal with deliciously good sambal(chilli paste) to go with the assortment choices of condiments, vegetables, soups. The crispiness and fried bits is wonderful to the mouth. A must if you are in the area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ RM Ayam Goreng Suharti is a legend in the world of local fried chicken. Originating in Jogja, Suharti has been in the business of fried chicken since the early 1960s, she later opened her restaurant under her own name in the 1972, thus Ayam Goreng Suharti was born.
The brand 'Ayam Goreng Suharti' itself is also a legend of its own as now there are two 'Ayam Goreng Suharti', one with the logo of 2 chicken, the other one is depicting a woman in traditional Javanese clothing. But that's for another time.
We had lunch in this restaurant a few weeks ago. The place was spacious but quite dimly lit. The place wasn't crowded. It seemed that more people order take outs from this place rather than dining in.
We had their signature Ayam Goreng, Karedok and Sayur Asem (which are ironically not in the pictures because I forgot to take them). Their Ayam Goreng was crispy and so tender, you can even easily bite through its bone. The karedok was fresh and so was the sayur asem.
Overall, this place really does offer food that suits the local tongue so well!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Always like to enjoy their Ayam Goreng, and especially their Tahu and Tempe Bacem, also Ati Ampela. Very good price also. This outlet located intersection of Sabang and Wahid Hasyim, also nearby Sarinah. Nice big outlet, always crowd but still OK condition. Nice staffs also.
