★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fair price for the food, though i suggest anyone who wants to come and eat here to came before 4 pm. Because you can sit at another stall that big enough. Because their stall is just have seat for 4 people max.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It just needed a simple review: Needles to say that Bu Rum is one of the or even the best Ayam Geprek in Yogyakarta. When discusses about Bu Rum, honestly it's not like another Geprek which all that matters is the level or how spicy the sambal is, but it's also worth mentioning on how good the Crispy Chiken taste is. Back then, I used to see, the chicken being brine and marinated with herbs in the bucket, maybe it explained where the tastiness come (it's clear that the chicken not only being seasoned with salt, pepper, and MSG). Is it has an affordable price for students? Yes, of course. Btw, to be honest the place is the small modest one, but luckily not so dirty.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I don't know exactly, but I think Bu Rum is the pioneer of 'Ayam Geprek' in Yogyakarta since I've never heard or found any kind of restaurant selling Ayam Geprek on their menu. Honestly, I like the chicken, and you can ask the spicy level as you want without getting extra charge. You also can take rice as much as you want. The price is also affordable since it is located near campus. My suggestion, you should avoid lunch time or you will be stuck in a long line. Overall, it is good for spicy lover.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Summary: A dirt cheap fried chicken spot serving freshly-made sambal. Very casual and popular w local university students. Not a bad spot for vegetarians, because you can have them mash the tempe, tofu, and egg with the sambal (eg just skip the chicken).
Quality: the fried chicken is very crispy wo being overly greasy. Pieces are large too. Sambal is great, and you can have it as spicy as you like. The veggies are a bit hit or miss.
Value: Meals are ~IDR15k. Crazy cheap.
Ambiance: Very casual. Not particularly clean, but the staff is friendly.
