★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Frankly, I was never at this atm. But I draw a street view picture, showing the very same place where this atm stands – in the Year 1880. It is located in Chinatown, Batavia, Netherlands Indies: Because they became too strong competitors in business, the Chinese population of Batavia was not allowed to live inside of the city walls by the dutch government in the 17th century. Since then they started to settle outside of the walls. And Batavia begun to grow bigger. This motive is one of a series of 8 pictures, I paint to illustrate the process of the development of this city district, called "Pintoe Ketjil, Batavia" from 1740 till now. So. thanks to this ATM google maps has a time travel feature now. Just compare the scenery in my painting with the current google street view just beside. It is amazing! And that is the reason, why I personally love this ATM!
