★ ★ ★ ★ ★ No doubt this place is full packed during weekends. Came here couple of times already but this time i tried different menu.
Babi hong was nice and so did the black pepper beef (sapi lada hitam). I would give both 4 out 5. But the fish (ikan tahu tausi) was a huge letdown. It was so bad that the aftertaste was like puke. I would give it 1 out of 5 - byebye 144k for that food.
Because of this experience, i have to give 3 stars/mediocre.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ a mixed use restaurant-wedding balroom, i've experienced both. the food are great, the service are precise, well mannered, and know what to recommend. the wedding ballroom is spacious and fit for small receptions.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This restaurant has been our favorite for a long time. Very consistent food taste. Good quality old style Chinese food. Today we enjoyed the seafood soup, fried eel and Chinese veggies, steamed chicken, black pepper beef, sautéed fish with tofu, fried pork ribs, and, stewed pork belly. All nice and delicious.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Overall the food and the place is very OK, but the service is not really good anymore. We were waiting for more than 1 hour on the New Years Eve family dinner. They just let us waited for what we already reserved and booked. But, everything than solved well. Perhaps it was just a hectic situation for them. Keep getting better for Angke Restaurant.
