β β β β β My favourite place for buying local Indonesian things. It's a one stop shop that covers various ethnic art styles covering the entire fashion, home and lifestyle requirements. They have some of the classics that I always find but they also keep adding new products. There is also a gifting and books section and a small coffee shop that just completes this one place.

Alun Alun in English means the plaza.
This Department store located at Grand Indonesia shopping mall 3rd floor. Jl. MH Thamrin No.1 Central Jakarta.
What you will find here all the fashions and craft products which are traditionally made by hands, namely Painting Batik, Woven Cloth, table cloth, arts gallery and antiques.
Then this place known as a market of the quality fashion made by hand in Jakarta.
This department is so huge, beside the rows of Individual counters belongs to Fashion Designer, there're an exhibition area for some fashion designers to show their design and lies the products.
In the centre of this store, you can see the spacious are for events related to what they sells, namely exhibitions for special products, launching products, fashion talkshow, media coverage and press conference.
