Long ago, there was a legend in a suburb of Yogyakarta. The village was named Druwo. The village is inhabited by residents who are predominantly farming. However, residents always feel disappointed about their crops. Every time they harvest, their fields will always be damaged. Only enough results for them to survive. The people of Druwo are aware of the existence of subtle creatures around them. Because the village also has a kingdom of spirits, the kingdom of Gendruwo. It's just that every night the residents can't take care of their plants. Because every night, residents are afraid of the presence of subtle creatures who live side by side with the residents. One night, a pottery merchant came from Kasongan village. As it turned out, the merchant was going all the way back home, until he decided to stay overnight in one of the houses of Druwo villagers. Mbah Amat is a resident who is raised in the local village. Mbah The people called him. The merchant asked permission from Mbah Amat to stay at his throne, but Mbah Amat did not have a proper place for the merchant to stay. Only on the porch of the house is the place left. The merchant was very grateful for being allowed to stay on his terrace. However, ... Mbah Amat, appealed to the merchant, to be careful and vigilant because every night in the village many gendruwo roam. The trader was not a problem because he was only there to rest and had asked permission from those who had a house. It was late at night, what Mbah Amat said was true. The trader was visited by a figure of Gendruwo. The trader did not think that it would be Gendruwo who gave him a prize in the form of gold picis rojobrono. News began to spread by word of mouth. Residents began to lose their minds. Residents are competing to get what the pottery merchants get. After a figure of Gendruwo appeared and came to the residents, he was given a pile of gold cloves. Residents were happy to get it. After Gendruwo left, the gold coppers turned out to be Lethong Kebo. Residents return to farming activities later on. Residents only surrender to the Almighty so that their crops are abundant. However, the Gendruwo will not allow that to happen. Mbah Amat or Mbah The tribe are also victims of the ferocity of the Gendruwo. Mbah Amat's cornfields have been damaged, so that Mbah Amat cannot harvest them. Mbah Amat does not stay silent. Mbah Amat conducts rituals (menaku) to anticipate that the Gendruwo can be handled. After that, Mbah Amat waited for Gendruwo's presence in his field. The Gendruwo came and destroyed the residents' fields. With full preparation, Mbah Amat brought spears and attacked the Gendruwo. It was on the spear that Gendruwo was by Mbah Amat and regarding one of the Gendruwo, he was not spared being the leader of the Gendruwo. "Yoh Kowe Very, I am not very eager to change my mind. Titenono sak your daughter will not overflow Moringa ". Finally, the leader of Gendruwo died. The message rang until now. There is no descendant of the very family of Mbah who became the Tribe or Shaman. Even Druwo residents do not become like Mbah Amat. After that incident, the residents of Druwo village were very grateful to God, because they had been given a way to eliminate the intruders in the results of farming. And until now the harvest is always abundant. Do not forget the citizens are always grateful to Him, God Almighty. It is said that Gendruwo was buried but his land was mounting many times even though the land had been taken. Then a mosque was built on top of the Gendruwo grave. Until now the mosque is still actively used as a place of worship. Sources from several community leaders in the Druwo hamlet.
