Langgar Kidul bukan sembarang mushala. Pada masa lalu, dari langgar inilah lahir Muhammadiyah, organisasi massa (ormas) Islam terbesar di Indonesia selain Nahdlatul Ulama (NU). Organisasi Muhammadiyah ini didirikan oleh KH Ahmad Dahlan di Kampung Kauman pada 18 November 1912.
Sangat banyak nilai historis, dari sebuah langgar kidul kauman tidak terlepas dari masjid agung kauman itu sendiri.
In ancient times, KH Ahmad Dahlan's Langgar Kidul was used by KH Ahmad Dahlan to pray with his family, preach, and teach local people to recite the Koran. KH Ahmad Dahlan's house is also located in the north of the langgar with the roof touching the walls of the building.
Langgar Kidul is not just any prayer room. In the past, from this violation was born Muhammadiyah, the largest Islamic mass organization (ormas) in Indonesia besides Nahdlatul Ulama (NU). This Muhammadiyah organization was founded by KH Ahmad Dahlan in Kauman Village on November 18, 1912.
There are so many historical values, from a langgar Kidul Kauman can not be separated from the great mosque of Kauman itself.
