β β β β β It was a nice experience for me to experience my half Saturday at Accelerice, a good place that provides co-working space, event space, meeting room, kitchen space. Accelerice building used to be North Korean Embassy at Jakarta. For a start-up foodpreneur, in othe words for you who is a newbie in culinary business, want to learn and get a guidance for a few week or month from the expert, then Accelerice could provide it all. After the training, they will also give you space here to sell your food for a few time. It is interesting, isn't it?
Accelerice consists of four floors.
First floor :
-Kitchen Space
-Demo & Preparation Space
-Dining Area
-Foodmart named "Toko Sebelah" that provides all of Indonesian local food in an affordable price, such as variant of snack, honey, tea, and many more
-Coffee Shop
Second floor :
-Event Space
-Musholla (praying room)
Third floor :
-Co-working Space
-Photography Room
-Library Packaging Room
-Meeting Room
Fourth floor :
-Private Office
-Co-working space
-Meeting Rooms
In this event, I only came to theΒ first and third floor. The meeting room and co-working space is so modern and comfortable. There is a swing, too. Similar with a playground!
For the lunch, the kitchen space was already prepared by variant food and drink from Indonesia local business. We could enjoy everything and take it as many as we pleasedΒ ?Β We even could takeaway the food!
Since there was a lot of food, so that I cannot try it all. Let's see the local food business for this lunch :
Bakmipedia
It is a startup chicken noodle business. They offer Salted Egg Chicken and Sambal Matah Noodle.
Tahu Kriuk YesΒ (I tried it)
A fried and soft crispy tofu that becomes everyone's favorite side dish. They often open their stall at a food festival. So, it is not hard to find it.
Rella's KitchenΒ (I tried it)
Comes from Bogor, West Java, Indonesia, Rella's Kitchen provides healthy food, such as multi-grains bread, gluten-free cookies, healthy cakes & bars, salad, burritos, pie crusts, tortillas. Their Burrito is my favorite! It is filled with chicken, vegetables with curry sauce. The combination of savory with a little bit spicy taste. The burrito is quite big, physically similar with kebab, and the taste is similar with my favorite curry puff.
Raja RawitΒ (I tried it)
A bowl of spicy rice with the topping that we could choose, such as chicken and squid. I chose the squid one. It consists of rice with squid, spicy chili sauce, and kremes (the crunchy yellow one). The taste is quite spicy and the portion is big.
Es Teh Emas (I tried it)
It is a tea beverage. There are sweet jasmine tea and green tea. I tried sweet jasmine tea served cold with ice. It is so refreshing!
After the lunch, this is what we have been waiting for. CAKE DECORATING COMPETITION! Before starting the competition, the chefs taught us how to decorate a cake by using fondant. We have to decorate two cakes. The first one shows Jakarta National Monument, and the second one shows Ondel-Ondel (large puppet figure featured inΒ BetawiΒ folk performance) and Bajaj (one of the public transportation in Jakarta). When you look the chef with his gifted hands decorating the cake, it seems easy. However, we who was given 1,5 hours to decorate the cake felt it was quite hard yet fun. Although our team did not win, but we still pleased to have this new knowledge and experience.
