★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best kept steady Chinese restaurant on taste and presentations. Original presentation with great taste. Try their shrimp covered with bacon, it is awesome!
Homey feels on the interior, this is one of the chinese restaurant that still exist. Altough there is another Cahaya Baru in Padjajaran street close to bus terminal, but the menu and taste is completely different! This one is the best! Reminder it is no halal.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cahaya Baru serves old style Chinese food. The place is rather gloomy and dark at noon. AC is off. The first time I visited was 15 years ago in 2004, it seemed like a luxury restaurant with beautiful light and cool air.

Place : Standard old style chinese restaurant. Also clean and has many tables
Service : Fast and good
Price : Not so expensive; 4 menus, 3 rice serving and drinks are around IDR 200K
Recomended, will be back again!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I started to dine here in the early 90’s. Tonight I got another chance to dine here again. We enjoyed the “hot plate seafood morning glory” and “butter fried frog legs”, both were satisfyingly delicious. Restaurant was very quiet, but people seemed to order online.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place is quite big. When it was pretty crowded, the food was a lil bit slow. The service was nice. The food were tasty. The lumpia udang is a must try. It's a good place to have lunch or dinner with big group.

I eat here everytime I'm in Bogor with big family.
