The noodles are great, the chicken is moist and tender, wontons are great. The service is also good. No air conditioning

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Personally, I find Bakmi Ayam Alok pretty much the best local Bakmi Ayam in Jakarta. Note: it’s different than the other local Bakmi Ayam style, which is with the minced brown-colored chicken.
I ordered the Bakmi Ayam Spesial, and you can see how beautiful the chicken line up on top of the noodle. All meat, no questionable wiggly parts.
The noodle is also well-seasoned, so it’s not just another bland betty. Its texture is kinda chewy, more towards “karet” style, which is not soft as instant noodles, and is wider than lamian.
Am not big on broths but I’d say it’s decent.
It may not be fancy with toppings and such, but it does provide comfort in its simplicity; a comfort I’ll go back for.

From the broth, I can smell the mellow aroma of chicken broth and I really love that. The chicken is also tender and juicy. Lovely.
Their wonton is okay.
Even though the broth tastes a little bit too bland, it's fine, you can add a little bit of the salty soy sauce and white pepper to suite your taste!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the legendary chicken noodle that has been serving family's recipe since 1978. The first stall is located in Greenville, West Jakarta. Until now, Bakmi Ayam Alok has several branches in Jakarta and Jakarta. This one in Kelapa Gading is located in a residential area with lots of food stalls around the street.
Besides noodle, they also provide white rice vermicelli for the other option with the portion that we could choose, such as half, one, or one and half portion. I tried their food by using food delivery service.
Here are what we tried :
Bakmi Ayam one portion (IDR 41,500)
The chewy with a bit oily noodle served with the big and soft boneless steamed chicken and spring onions.
Bakso Goreng 2 pcs (IDR 18,000)
One portion of bakso goreng consists of two pieces. This is the fried meatball made from shrimp.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Did I have too high of an expectation? I enjoyed the chewy noodle texture but I found the chicken and overall taste to be bland. None of the sauce or chili were spicy enough, but maybe this is their signature taste so I'll take it. With that price, I expected something better. Service was good, but I don't think I will be coming back to this place.
