★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had my hair bleached today which was supposed to cost 300,000 rupiah as I was told when I checked in since I have very short hair. Initially I thought all was going well as the beautician seemed to know what he was doing, sectioning from the crown of my head and applying the bleach at the roots. Unfortunately, the result color was very yellow and brassy which is not my desire. I asked for toner which was provided. But again the color was still quite brassy with a hint of blue. Okay I thought I’ll have to do my own toning at home. Not sure why this is but the salons don’t seem to consider conditioning after a bleaching which is absolutely necessary because my hair have been seriously damaged from this process. Knowing this from experience I bring my own hair mask along to be sure that I get some conditioning. So I showed the guy who was rinsing my hair the packet and he used applied it while massaging my head and shoulders. It was actually a very good massage. Yet all the while I know that the color is not what I want and that I’ll have fix it once I get home. Here’s the problem, I get the bill which is 430,000 because I was charged for a cream bath and dry. I had no idea that these extra charges would be added. Sadly my Indonesian is not good enough to make a good argument and got really upset. I am not happy with my hair color which is still yellowish with blue tint, the texture is still very dry and was charged too much.
